<p>The Department of Parks and Recreation announces that there are still a few openings in its 9 &amp;10 yr old Summer Baseball Program. Anyone who has turned 9 on or before April 30, 2011 and not already be 11 by that same date can participate. Games are on Monday and Wednesday nights.  Rainouts are played on Friday evenings.</p>
<p>Applications are available at the Parks and Recreation office located on the 2nd floor of Town Hall.  Players will be placed immediately.   For more information please contact 203 618-7649.</p>

<p>Small Fry Baseball Coaches Needed</p>
<p>The Department of Parks and Recreation is in need of baseball coaches.</p>

<p>Friday Night Indoor Baseball at Central Middle School</p>
<p>The Department of Parks and Recreation announces that registration for Indoor Baseball has started.  The program will take place at the Central Middle School on Friday nights and will be available to those who will be turning 7-10 years of age on or before April 30, 2011.   </p>
<p>The program will include both skill drills and game playing.  The 7’s will be meeting at 6:00pm, the 8’s at 6:45pm, the 9’s and 10’s at 7:30pm.   Rob Kach will be instructing the clinic. </p>
<p>The program starts Friday, January 7th  and continues until March 11th.  It does not meet on Friday, February due to the school dance.</p>

<p>ONS Sports Medicine Specialist Paul Sethi, M.D. to talk about preventing throwing injuries.</p>
<p>The OGRCC will host Preventing Throwing Injuries, a free seminar for parents and their kids who play baseball.  Sports medicine and shoulder specialist Dr. Paul Sethi of ONS in Greenwich will discuss arm injuries often associated with the “throwing sports. Learn why throwing makes the elbow and shoulder vulnerable to injury, and what can be done to help keep young athletes on the playing field and out of the operating room. Preventing Throwing Injuries will take place at Greenwich Civic Center, 90 Harding Road, Old Greenwich. Call to register- 203-637-3659. Admission is FREE, but reservations are required.</p>
