Kate Liba, the president, informed me that the proceeds of the sale would go toward maintaining and improving the garden.  I was unaware that the society created this lovely retreat in the heart of Cos Cob but am grateful that they did.  The society also sponsors monthly meetings at various locations in the region.  Some of the meetings feature speakers with particular areas of expertise; others take place at outstanding private gardens or other properties of horticulture interest. <p>Led by Melissa Piechucki &amp; Edward Henry. Melissa is a professional horticulturist, who received her training at the New York Botanical Garden and Wave Hill. She is involved in developing the GEC’s forthcoming educational program. Edward is a natural history illustrator and educator, currently doing work for the National Wildlife Refuge, UCONN and the CT DEP. They are both dedicated to sharing the wonder they observe in the natural world. They live in Cos Cob.</p>
