Join the Breast Cancer Alliance and Platinum Sponsors Omnicom Group, Inc. and Greenwich Hospital in the fifth annual Hands Across the Avenue walk to fund advances in research and promote breast health. The entry fee is $20.00 (children under six are free). The walk will be led by Grand Marshal Frank Corvino, President and CEO of Greenwich Hospital, and followed by a celebration honoring breast cancer survivors, their families and friends. Team entries are encouraged. Bring family and friends and join us in the walk and in the fight.
Check in and warm up with NYSC fitness professionals begins at 10:30 am, with the walk to follow at 11:00. All registrants will receive a commemorative bandana to be worn as proof of registration and a walk hat provided by Hat Attack. Team entries are encouraged and may include three or more persons. Individuals or teams that donate $5,000 or more will not incur any registration expenses.
Richards has once again generously opened up its parking lot to host this event, one of many Alliance activities the Mitchell family supports. Refreshments will, for the fifth straight year, be provided by Mediterraneo Restaurant and include delectables such as yogurt parfait, artisanal breads, coffee, juice and fresh fruit.
Water will again be provided by PepsiCo.
To obtain an entry and/or team form, go to www.breastcanceralliance.org, see Hands Across the Avenue on the home page, and follow the instructions for downloadable forms or secure online registration.
Founded in Grenwich in 1996, the Breast Cancer Alliance is now the fourth largest private non-corporate organization providing funds for breast cancer research in the United States.
