An illustrated workshop offered at no cost by the Organic Land Care Program, a project of the Northeast Organic Farming Association of Connecticut, (CT NOFA). Ideal for homeowners seeking information on organic lawn and landscaping methods. The session includes time for questions and will be led by John Tycz, owner of Go Organic LLC. – a NOFA-accredited business serving Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Newly released and award winning, ‘A Chemical Reaction’ by safelawns.org founder Paul Tukey, is a documentary about one of the most powerful community initiatives in the history of North America.  It started in 1984 when Dr. June Irwin, a dermatologist, noticed a connection between her patients’ health and their exposure to chemical pesticides and herbicides.  With relentless persistence she brought her concerns to town meetings and her fight resulted in a ban on well-known lawn chemicals.
