The Greenwich Land Trust will mark the 10th Anniversary of Go Wild! with a weekend of events this fall. On Saturday evening, October 3, adults are invited to Go Wild @ Night, a “wildly” chic evening of dinner and dancing under the stars at the Greenwich Polo Club. On Sunday afternoon, October 4, the entire family is invited to an extra special 10th anniversary Go Wild! field day. New this year, Go Wild @ Night is sure to delight with a delicious buffet by Abigail Kirsch, dancing to Double Down, a Southern Rock band and limited evening rides in the signature Go Wild! hot air balloons. The Go Wild @ Night Committee has planned many “wild” activities including sleight-of-hand entertainers, star gazing with Rick Bria, and a hay maze to the martini bar. Go Wild! the GLT’s annual family field day is regarded as one of the best family events in Greenwich. All generations enjoy the great outdoors while watching children scale the climbing wall, cuddle animals in the petting zoo, take a ride on the mechanical bull and navigate the giant obstacle course. Of course, colorful hot air balloons will offer a bird’s eye view of the spectacular event. The Greenwich Land Trust, founded in 1976 as a nonprofit conservation organization, is dedicated to preserving land permanently in its natural state for the benefit of this and future generations. Land conservation and stewardship protect Greenwich’s air and water quality, provide corridors for wildlife and offer visual relief in densely populated areas. The GLT currently preserves more than 726 acres of land in the Greenwich area including woodlands, meadows, orchards, and salt marshes. Visit www.gltrust.org or call 629-2151 to purchase tickets.
