Jazz Concert at Greenwich Point

JAZZ MARINERS
If you haven’t heard the Jazz Mariners, now is the time. Three years ago, four Old Greenwich sailors started playing together.  Their bond was a love of jazz music done right. The originals, John Ehlers on guitar, Lou Rupnik on tenor sax, Keith Henderson on Bass and Jay Louden on keyboard have added vocalist Barbara Suthergreen. Their repertoire is based on tunes from the American Songbook, all great hits of the 1930s and 40s and beyond.
Performances last 90 minutes, and are open to all Greenwich Point visitors. The lovely garden lawn can accommodate 200 or more listeners while the musicians perform on the brick patio at the west end of the garden.

The concerts are held in the shade of tall oaks and occasionally are cancelled due to sudden showers or other inclement weather. If possible, cancelled performances are re-scheduled on another Sunday. Plan to bring a chair or blanket and a drink or snack.
