Tree Contest Winners Announced

Awesome Tree Contest winners were announced at a ceremony at the Bruce Museum on Sunday. The winners are: 1st Place – Most Picturesque and Widest Tree: White Oak at 364 W. Putnam Avenue – submitted by Mimi Kirk
Tallest Tree: Cottonwood at 28 Shore Shore – submitted by Jean Crocco
Weirdest Tree: Corkscrew Willow – Griffith Road in Riverside – submitted by Margaret and Jim Kovac
Tree with Greatest Story: Red Oak – Dandy Drive in Cos Cob – submitted by Judy and Peter Berg
Congratulations to the winners who were chosen among 101 participants. The conservancy hopes to make the contest an annual event. Don’t miss this exciting event next year.
